Henri Jacket in Indigo Wabash

$325.00

A 1940's style all-gender military working jacket, named after the artist Henri Matisse, in a beautifully structured yet comfortable 10oz striped indigo wabash canvas. Wabash fabric was commonly used in workwear between 1800 and 1900, named for the Midwestern Native American Wabash Tribe's decorated workwear fabric that features intricate striped patterns comprised of tiny dotting, diamonds or triangles, created through a process known as "discharge printing" by rolling a natural, mildly acidic solution to the dyed fabric with copper rollers. This jacket features an easy yet tailored fit, easily sized up or down to adjust to preference, with contrasting brown corozo buttons down the front, button cuff sleeves, three front patch pockets, and contrasting stitching. 100% washable cotton canvas. Made with care in NYC. Natural variations will occur and are a testament to the handmade nature.
