A fine, shallow, multi-purpose bowl made from micaceous clay, responsibly harvested near Taos, NM, pit fired with local red cedar, stone polished, and cured with elk marrow and bees wax. Inspired by Tinaja, a geological bowl formation caused by natural erosion, where water gathers in basalt. A work of functional art, perfect used as a serving vessel, for holding fruit or eggs, as a catchall, or on display as a sculptural piece. Approximately 7 x 6 x 1 inches. M3 slip. Edition of 2. Made by the artist on the full moon in New Mexico using methods and materials derived from his ancestral Pueblo land and traditions.
